Oldham Athletic have signed versatile teenager Alex Marrow on a month-long loan deal from Blackburn Rovers. Marrow has yet to make his debut for Rovers, but has been involved during the Premier League club's pre-season campaign. He has now been allowed out to gain first-team experience and could be involved in Oldham's League One opener against Stockport County on Saturday. The 19-year-old can play in midfield, central defence or at right-back, and provides Latics boss Dave Penney with plenty of options. Marrow becomes the second player to leave Ewood Park on loan on Thursday after Gavin Gunning joined Oldham's divisional rivals Tranmere Rovers.
