Kean wants Samba to stay

Blackburn boss Steve Kean hopes to convince defender Chris Samba to change his mind and stay at Ewood Park. The Congo international has been determined to move on following Sam Allardyce's sacking, but Kean insists there have been no offers for the 26-year-old. The Blackburn manager, who still holds out some hope of pulling off an audacious swoop for Ronaldinho, says he does not want any players to leave the club. Kean, who promised to put out his strongest possible side when QPR visit in the FA Cup third round, said: "We have not had anybody trying to get any of our players, we want to keep our squad intact. "Anybody who saw the way Chris played against Liverpool, you certainly can't fault his commitment. He's playing with a smile on his face, he's happy to be back in the team and back out on the grass. "So hopefully we can convince Chris that we are moving forward and that he is a big part of that."
