Kean sees potential in India

Manager Steve Kean believes Blackburn's owners' plans to develop football in India is the start of a significant project with huge potential.[LNB] Last week Rovers flew out to play a friendly against FC Pune in the home town of Venky's, the poultry firm who took control at Ewood Park in December.[LNB]The trip, the first by a Premier League club, helped promote the sport in the country and Kean believes with Venky's also investing in youth projects the face of football in the country may be about to change.[LNB]"With the plans the (Rao) family have for building an academy and a grassroots programme to go across the country I think it is the start of something big," the Scot told Rovers Player.
