Kean Not Surprised At Jones Progress.

Blackburn boss Steve Kean is tipping ex Rovers defender Phil Jones to go on and captain England at some point in his career.

It cost Manchester United around £17 million to get their hands on Jones and already that looks like money well spent.

Now Jones should face his old side at Old Trafford on New Year’s Eve giving Rovers fans and Kean the chance to look first hand at the lost talent.

"I have not been surprised at how Phil Jones has settled into life at Manchester United one bit," said Kean.

"When I first saw Phil down at the academy I thought 'this boy is a player'. I always hoped he would captain our club. Now he is at Manchester United, I am sure he will captain them and he will captain England."
