Kean hails progress

Blackburn boss Steve Kean believes his team are showing progress after their goalless draw with Arsenal. Rovers moved up to 14th in the Barclays Premier League after a hard-fought point against the Gunners - which they achieved despite having midfielder Steven Nzonzi sent off - but they are still only two points clear of the drop zone. Kean insists they are heading in the right direction, though. He said: "We set out a plan to make sure their midfield three did not get as much time on the ball as they like and we did that well in the first half. "When we lost a man we thought 'here we go', but we showed good togetherness and the lads were tremendous with a fantastic appetite to get something. "It is a very important point and keeps our momentum going."
