Kean signed the new deal which does not extend his stay as Rovers boss, but it is believed that it does contain a pay rise, a fitting tribute to the man who has won just six games in 33 attempts and currently has the team in 19th place in the league.
When asked if he could relate to fans being aggrieved that he has a new revised deal, he said: "No, the length of the contract is the same. I'm just delighted the owners have backed me and the players are totally behind what we are trying to do."I'm happy now to move on and piece together what we are trying to do."
