Steve Kean remains confident that no matter what happens to Blackburn this season, he will be the man in charge of Blackburn Rovers next season.

The Ewood Park chief has always brushed away any talk of him getting the push which has not only done Rovers no good what so ever, it has had the fans spitting sparks from their grinding teeth.

Kean was bullish not so long ago when a few good results had dragged Rovers out of the bottom three, but five straight defeats have shown that Rovers are now worse off than ever.

However, when asked about the axe if Kean said: "I have a contract that runs beyond this season.

"Let's get this season taken care of, make sure that we are in the division and I'm hopeful we can move things on."
