Judge returns to Home Park

Plymouth have re-signed Blackburn winger Alan Judge on a season-long loan deal. Judge spent the second half of the 2008/9 campaign with the Pilgrims, scoring two goals in 17 appearances and catching the eye with his lightning pace. He remains on the fringes of the first-team squad at Blackburn and has now been allowed to return to Home Park to gain further experience. Paul Sturrock is delighted to have secured the 20-year-old's services for another season and hopes he can continue to shine. "I am very pleased," Sturrock told the club's official website. "Judgey showed a commitment to the football club last year - his zest and enthusiasm was a benefit to us and helped take us over the final hurdle. "He felt his career was going in the right direction because he was getting games, so it was a no-brainer when they opened the opportunity up for him to come back. "He has got to prove himself again. He has done a full pre-season at Blackburn and he brings vitality to our team, which rubs off on everybody else. "It is a season-long loan with an option for both sides to reassess in January, but I am very hopeful that we won't have a problem with that."
