Hoilett Will Be Big Says Kean

10 January 2011 05:37
Blackburn manager Steve Kean is of the opinion that Hoilett is going to turn into a fine player, he just needs to grow in confidence. The 20 year old has been with the club since he was 13 and was the hero of the day when he came up with what proved to be the winning goal against QPR in the FA Cup. And his performance helped him win his second successive man-of-the-match award, having already receiving that honour in the game against Liverpool in midweek.  "He is certainly a quality player but he's not had a consistent run in the team," said the manager. "We see it every day in training how he moves the ball and he is playing with confidence and a bit of a spring in his step. "I hope he's starting to find his consistency. We've said to him to not stop trying and to not stop trying to get on the ball. Hopefully we have got him in a vein of form. He is a match-winner.” David Hoilett (Blackburn Rovers) Information Date of birth Tuesday, 5th June 1990 Height 5ft 8in Place of birth Ottawa, Canada Weight 11st 0lb International   Position Midfielder Comments   Squad No. 23 Recent Career History By Club (1999 onwards) Team Debut Apps (+ sub) Goals Yellows Reds   Blackburn Rovers 15 Aug 2009 19 (23) 2 1 0 Recent Career History By Season (1999 onwards) Season First App. Apps (+ sub) Goals Yellows Reds   2010/2011 21 Aug 2010 8 (7) 1 1 0 2009/2010 15 Aug 2009 11 (16) 1 0 0 Appearances 19 (+ 23 as sub); Goals 2; Yellow cards 1; Red cards 0
