Hayes hits a brace to rock Rovers

Paul Hayes struck twice on his debut as Preston North End stunned Blackburn Rovers with a 3-0 win at Deepdale on Tuesday night.[LNB] North End opened the scoring when Hayes headed home Callum Davidson's cross after 19 minutes.[LNB]The summer signing from Scunthorpe continued to trouble the visiting defence and doubled his tally on the stroke of half-time when he got on the end of Keith Treacy's free-kick to head home.[LNB]Chris Brown put the result beyond doubt with a 56th-minute penalty following an incident in the box between Michel Salgado and Sean St Ledger.
