Blackburn against Everton looked like a recipe for disaster for sofa spectators from the start and was predictably dull while Manchester United
at Newcastle and Manchester City's match against Aston Villa always looked better bets.
Even West Ham at Wigan overshadowed the TV game for drama and action and if they have to put on too many more matches like last night's the satellite subscription fees would start to look pretty poor value.
