Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is interested in taking the vacant Blackburn job. The 65-year-old has been working with Bournemouth in an advisory role since early September but Sky Sports News understands he is now interested in a return to management at Ewood Park. Redknapp, who has also managed Bournemouth, West Ham, Portsmouth and Southampton, parted company with Spurs in June. Eric Black is currently in temporary charge at Blackburn as the club's global advisor Shebby Singh searches for a replacement for Steve Kean who departed on 28 September. And both Black and club captain David Dunn would welcome Redknapp on board if he can be lured north. Dunn told Sky Sports News: "If Shebby could persuade Harry to have a serious think about coming to Ewood Park then I would imagine it would be one of the better decisions that Venky's have made over the last couple of years. "We have got a very good squad and we still have an outstanding chance of getting promotion. "I am sure if Harry was interested and the club could persuade him to come to the club, then hopefully we could get promotion. Promotion is great for any manager's cv." Black said: "He's a fantastic manager, right up at the top echelons of management and I think he would be a sensational appointment for Blackburn. "Whether that happens I really don't know, but he is a fantastic manager and has proven that over the years."
