Grella home raided by masked robbers

The robbers stole the jewellery and watches from Grella's home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, and fled in his BMW X5 which was later found dumped in nearby Sale Moor. The Australian, 29, was left shaken but uninjured - his wife and daughters were out when it happened around 10pm on Sunday. The raid is just the latest in a long line of break-ins at footballers' homes in the area in the past two years. They included robbers targeting Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard's house when he was away with the club, knife raids at the homes of Emile Heskey and Roque Santa Cruz and an armed gang breaking into the home of Manchester United player Darren Fletcher.
