David Goodwillie is looking forward to putting on a Rovers shirt and getting to grips with the Premier League after completing his move from Dundee United. The Scott arrived at Ewood to sign a four year deal after Rovers had fought off competition from the likes of Rangers who had several bids at the striker. In the end, it is believed that Rangers made one final attempt to get the player from under the noses of Rovers, but Dundee chairman Stephen Thompson did not want to do business with the Scottish giants. Goodwillie could make his debut in a friendly against Kilmarnock on Saturday, but what he is really looking forward to is getting a chance to take on the Premier Leagues best defences. Goodwillie told Rovers Player: 'I think it's a massive stage to further mycareer and there's no better place to play than the Premiership. 'Growing up you want to play in the Premiership and I'm really grateful tohave that opportunity. 'I think it's every young boy's dream to play in England at some point intheir career. 'I feel ready, and it's up to the manager and we'll see what happens.'
