Glory want Todd Down Under

Perth Glory coach Dave Mitchell has confirmed his interest in signing veteran Derby defender Andy Todd. Mitchell revealed the 34-year-old former Blackburn captain would be a good addition to the Australian outfit, who have been hit by defensive departures in recent months. "The boy Andy Todd, who's playing at Derby, we've been interested in him," Mitchell confirmed. Todd played for Middlesbrough, Bolton and Charlton before moving to Blackburn in 2002, where he was twice named Rovers' player of the year. He transferred to Derby for their disastrous 2007-08 Premier League campaign, which saw the Rams relegated back to the Championship. Australia international Mile Sterjovski, Todd's Derby team-mate, is also a target for the ambitious A-League outfit.
