On a roll: Ferguson has been playing well[LNB]Birmingham midfielder Barry Ferguson is adamant he has nothing to prove in his side's home clash with Blackburn.[LNB]Ferguson made the switch from Rangers to Ewood Park in August 2003 and insists he made a positive contribution until suffering a serious knee injury before he moved back to Ibrox after two seasons.   [LNB]The former Rangers captain is concentrating on helping Birmingham extend their current unbeaten run of seven games rather than having any personal agenda.   [LNB]He said: 'It is just another game. I had two years at Blackburn and enjoyed myself there - but now I am enjoying myself at Birmingham.   [LNB]'The last six months of my time up the road (at Rangers) was not the most enjoyable but I am back to enjoying football and playing every game.   [LNB]'I had a knee-cap injury at Blackburn. A lot of people said I didn't enjoy my time there. That was not the case. [LNB]'I have not got a point to prove. I started off well but then I got the bad injury. I came back from it and I played a lot of games for Blackburn. I did well. I was captain there.  [LNB] 'But it was a case of 'when your old club comes calling' so I kind of left under a bit of a cloud. I went back to Rangers and won more championships and cups and got to a UEFA Cup final.'[LNB]CLICK HERE FOR THE MIDWEEK TEAM NEWS IN THE BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUEFerguson puts Birmingham's current run down to hard work but is confident complacency will not creep in.   [LNB]He said: 'I am not getting too carried away but we are on a good run and I think it is all down to hard work. Everyone fights for each other and that is the type of spirit we've got now.   [LNB]'Are we safe already? No, that is not the way we are thinking. No-one gets carried away. The gaffer makes sure of that and all the experienced boys in the dressing room make sure of that.   [LNB] Rover and out: Ferguson was injured a few months into his Blackburn career[LNB]'On 24 points, we are on a good run but we are not getting carried away. That is one thing about the boys in the dressing room.   [LNB]'With the way we've played this season, we've probably surprised a lot of teams with the way we play.   [LNB]'It is a different kind of pressure to going for titles with Rangers but it is a pressure I enjoy.'[LNB]Blues midfielder Lee Carsley has a stiff back but is expected to have recovered in time to be part of McLeish's plans.  [LNB] Birmingham 1 West Ham 0: Lee Bowyer fears for poor HammersBenni to quit Rovers to save 2010 dream and pal Pedersen could join himIt's the biggest midweek of the season... just feel those nerves jangle!BIRMINGHAM CITY FC
