ew Blackburn signing David Goodwillie believes exciting times lie ahead at Ewood Park.[LNB] The 22-year-old, who won the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award last season, completed his move from Dundee United earlier this week in a deal believed to be in the region £2million.[LNB]The highly-rated youngster was also the subject of intense interest from Rangers but the SPL club could not agree a fee with United, leaving Rovers in the clear to complete the signing of the striker on a four-year deal.[LNB]Goodwillie believes the future is bright not just on a personal level but also for his new club under Indian owners Venky's.[LNB]"I think this could be a really good season for Blackburn," Goodwillie told the club's official website.[LNB]"The new owners are exciting and they want players and I'm looking forward to playing under them.[LNB]"I think it's a massive stage to further my career and there's no better place to play than the Premier League."[LNB]Goodwillie accepts though that it may take time for him to adjust to the rigors of Premier League football.[LNB]"I think [for] the first few games it will be difficult for me to settle, it's probably a better standard [than the SPL]," he added.[LNB]"I'm just looking forward to the challenge. It's exciting, it's really exciting."
