Blackburn midfielder Brett Emerton believes last season's experiences will stand his team-mates in good stead following their slump into the relegation fight.
Rovers are just a point above the Barclays Premier League relegation zone after collecting just one point in their last six games.
The Lancashire side successfully pulled themselves away from danger to finish 10th last year and Emerton is convinced they can do so again.
The Australia international told the club's official website: "I think about this time when we have come up against it and really needed to win games, we have been able to do that.
"Hopefully this season will be no different and we can string a few wins together and finish the season on a high.
"I think we know what is needed to be done and we feel we can do that and get the results we need."
