Blackburn midfielder David Dunn is looking forward to the season ahead as he bids to return from injury.[LNB] The 29-year-old endured an injury-plagued campaign last term, making just 17 appearances in all competitions.[LNB]He missed the season's run-in after having an operation on his Achilles and is now targeting a return, along with fellow Rovers players Brett Emerton and Steven Reid.[LNB]Dunn told Sky Sports News: "Obviously there's a couple of us this year, obviously Brett Emerton had a serious knee injury, likewise did Steven Reid and there's myself - so we'll be in there working hard all summer.[LNB]"We've got a great backroom staff, great physios at the club, great doctor so I am just hoping that all three of us can get back into contention pretty quickly."[LNB]Dunn also praised manager Sam Allardyce for keeping the club in the Premier League and is hoping Rovers do better next term.[LNB]He added: "Without being too unkind, we didn't have a great season this year.[LNB]"But we feel that next year we can really push on.[LNB]"He (Allardyce) has done a great job and he has stabilised the club and give us at least another season in that top-flight."[LNB]
