Blackburn have agreed a fee with Olympiacos for the permanent transfer of Matt Derbyshire and the striker has now been given permission to discuss personal terms. The 23-year-old spent last season out on loan at the Greek club and had already been the subject of a reported £3million bid. With manager Sam Allardyce keen to generate funds for squad strengthening, having successfully fought off relegation having taken over from the sacked Paul Ince midway through the campaign, he is willing to allow the former England Under-21 international to leave Ewood Park. Derbyshire, who scored 11 goals after moving to Olympiacos in January, is believed to be keen on a permanent move to the Greek league and cup winners.
