Demba Ba backs West Ham to beat the drop

Demba Ba believes West Ham can defy the odds and beat the drop, starting with a vital win over fellow strugglers Blackburn this weekend.[LNB]The Hammers striker, who scored in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Manchester City, is determined to fire Avram Grant's side to safety despite time running out for their Barclays Premier League survival battle.[LNB]The defeat at Eastlands was West Ham's fifth in as many games and they have just three games left to pull off what would be a great escape.[LNB] Hammer time: Demba Ba has vowed to fire West Ham to safety despite time running out in the survival bid[LNB]Rooted to the bottom of the table on 32 points, three points adrift of safety, Ba knows the Hammers must beat Rovers at Upton Park to give themselves a fighting chance with only an away trip to Wigan and final game of the season against Sunderland to come.[LNB]He said: 'I see how the players train. I see how they react after games and I cansay that we are going to fight to the end. It is a great team to play in. We are going to keep our cool, put our heads down and keep on working.[LNB]'In the last three games we have to give everything, not just tactically.[LNB]'It is not only about tactics but it is about fighting.[LNB]'We are playing teams around us in the table which will help us.
