Crouch price is not right for Rovers

The gangly frontman has been linked with a summer exit from Fratton Park. But Allardyce admits Crouch's price tag is too rich for him, leaving the likes of Sunderland and Tottenham to battle for his signature. "We think he (Crouch) is probably out of our reach and bigger clubs than Blackburn will take him if Portsmouth decide they are going to sell him," said Allardyce. "No-one has said to me from Portsmouth that he is for sale so we haven't done anything from that point of view." The Rovers boss also dismissed speculation linking Egypt striker Amr Zaki, who spent last season on loan at Wigan, with a move to Ewood Park. Prem 2009/10 To Stay Up Win Outright: Blackburn 1/14
