Club comes first for keeper

Blackburn goalkeeper Paul Robinson is focusing on doing well for his club in the hope that it will take care of his international ambitions. The 29-year-old was named in Fabio Capello's squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Ukraine and Belarus but knows he is contesting the number two spot with West Ham's Robert Green with experienced Portsmouth keeper David James the Italian's regular first choice. Although he wants to be part of next summer's World Cup squad Robinson knows he can only achieve that through his club form. "I am concentrating on my own performances, it is just about playing well," he said. "It is about consistency, playing well, and turning in good performances for Blackburn. "I am on the fringes of the England squad at the moment and the majority of time I have been getting in. "But I am just enjoying my football again, concentrating on my performances and just focusing on myself."
