Blackburn have been dealt a major blow with Steve Kean revealing Chris Samba faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The Blackburn captain limped off shortly before half-time during his side's 1-0 defeat by Chelsea on Saturday.
Kean, who is coming under increasing pressure from the Blackburn supporters said: 'It looks a bad one for Chris. We will have to look at that on Monday but it doesn't look good.
'Chris has pulled his hamstring which is disappointing.
'It is a blow because he is such an influential character, but the good news from within the treatment room is that Scott Dann is really pushing to be back as is Ryan Nelsen.
'So hopefully when we miss Chris, Scotty or Nelly can step into that slot.'
