Chimbonda not yet match fit

Blackburn defender Pascal Chimbonda admits it will take him a number of games before he gets into full swing at Ewood Park. The 30-year-old joined a fortnight ago from Tottenham and made his debut against West Ham just two days later in what was his first game for six months. "Towards the end of the first half I was getting a little bit tired because it is a long time since I've played a game," Chimbonda told the club's official website. "But in the second half I felt good. "I think after I've played five games then I will show everyone comfortably I can play." The former Wigan, Spurs and Sunderland man was deployed at left-back in the draw with the Hammers and although a right-back by trade, Chimbonda is willing to play anywhere for the team. He added: "My real position is right-back but if the manager asks me to play centre-back or left-back to help the team I will do it. I like to be on the pitch."
