Carlisle wait on Raven

Carlisle United boss Greg Abbott is waiting for David Raven's decision on a contract offer after agreeing terms with Tony Kane.[LNB] Raven has been offered a new two-year deal at Brunton Park and has until 16th June to decide on his future with the League One club.[LNB]The defender is currently on holiday, but Abbott is optimistic that the former Liverpool youngster will agree to stay.[LNB]"I had a very positive conversation with David just before he went on holiday," Abbott told the club's official website. [LNB]"I am very hopeful from the way the chat went that we will get a good response from him when he returns, but, as with all of these situations, we just have to wait and see."[LNB]Meanwhile, Abbott also confirmed that Blackburn right-back Kane has verbally agreed terms on a two-year deal to return to Carlisle permanently.[LNB]He added: "We know what we're getting with Tony and we think that he is a young player who will continue to improve and get better.[LNB]"We now have to wait until he is clear of his commitments with Blackburn, but we don't see that as a problem at all."[LNB]
