Bowyer Happy With Rovers Display

Blackburn caretaker manager Gary Bowyer thought that it was a pretty good display from his side after they drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Stephen Dobbie had given the visitors the lead but Jordan Rhodes was on the mark again has he has been so many times for Rovers so far this season.

The draw should mean that Rovers are safe, but nobody will admit that just yet.

After the game, while his opponent Ian Holloway was ranting about penalties that his side didn't get, Bowyer pointed out that Rovers should have had one of their own.

He said to reporters: "It's a good point against very good side. We're delighted with a point but maybe we could have got three.

"They're an attacking team and play a passing game but I thought we matched it at times and played some good stuff ourselves. With a little bit more care in the attacking third, we might just have won it.

"We had a great shout for a penalty when Morris got brought down. It was a stonewaller for me but we've shown against a good team how close this championship is."
