Blades land Bunn

Sheffield United have signed Blackburn's Mark Bunn on a one-month loan deal to bolster their goalkeeping options. The Blades have made the move as confusion continues over the future of established No.1 Paddy Kenny, who failed a drugs test during last season's play-offs. Kevin Blackwell's side are waiting to discover the extent of Kenny's punishment and have moved to sign Bunn as cover for the former Bury stopper. Bunn made his name at Northampton before moving to Rovers and played three games on loan at Leicester last season. He joins Ewood Park team-mate Keith Treacy on loan at Bramall Lane and will challenge Ian Bennett and Justin Haber for the No.1 jersey. Bunn could make his debut on Friday evening as United tackle Middlesbrough, live on Sky Sports 1 and HD1 in the opening game of the Championship season.
