Blades extend Bunn stay

Sheffield United have extended Blackburn goalkeeper Mark Bunn's loan stay until January. Bunn arrived at United on an initial month's loan as the Blades await the outcome of Paddy Kenny's hearing regarding his failed drugs test. The 24-year-old has impressed after conceding just two goals in four games and Blades boss Kevin Blackwell has thanked his Blackburn counterpart Sam Allardyce for allowing him to stay in South Yorkshire. "We are indebted to Sam because we know he will have been concerned about leaving his own club short of cover," Blackwell told the club's official website. "Getting Mark in for longer is a big relief considering the position we find ourselves in. "He has settled, done well and his presence will maintain continuity instead of having to start all over again."
