Cambridge United manager is leading the race to become Blackpool manager. The 39-year-old former Tangerines midfielder could return to the club he played 50 League games for from 1996-99 following the departure of caretaker boss Tony Parkes. Six-time Blackburn caretaker  manager Parkes decided not take up Blackpool's offer of a permanent post despite steering the club to safety in the Championship. Brabin guided Cambridge to this season's Conference play-off final but they lost 2-0 to Torquay and are resigned to another season of non-League football.
