Blackburn want Argentina great Diego Maradona as their new manager
Blackburn's new owners have admitted they want to bring in Argentina legend Diego Maradona as a replacement for former boss Sam Allardyce.[LNB]Maradona has been linked with a host of jobs since guiding Argentina to the quarter-finals of the World Cup in South Africa.[LNB]And after appointing Steve Kean as caretaker, Venky's chairwoman Anuradha Desai said told the Mirror: 'We thought about Maradona as a coach after we took over.[LNB] Legend: Former Argentina boss Diego Maradona[LNB]'Talks were at the initial stage then, but there is no development on that front yet.[LNB]'For now, the current coach will be the manager till the end of the season. There is no question of signing anyone for such a short time.'[LNB]Maradona is reportedly interested in a Premier League job, and the Rao family who run Venky's would appreciate the enormous profile he would bring.[LNB]Maradona might not even have to be at Ewood Park on a regular basis.[LNB]Desai said: 'Kean is well connected with the game and the players as well. We have full faith that he will do the best job and keep the team motivated.
