Rhodes set to feature for Rovers

Jordan Rhodes is expected to lead the line for Blackburn against Wolves, despite a recent injury and another summer of transfer speculation.

Rovers have already rejected one bid from Middlesbrough for their 25-year-old striker, who has expressed a desire to speak to Boro, but will continue to feature in Gary Bowyer's plans having overcome an ankle injury picked up in pre-season.

Bowyer has decisions to make in goal, where David Raya has played most of the friendlies - despite Jason Steele ending last year as number one, and at centre-back, where fit-again Shane Duffy will hope to break the tandem of Grant Hanley and Matt Kilgallon.

Both Nathan Delfouneso and Danny Guthrie could also make their debuts after signing on free contracts this week.

Adam Le Fondre and Sheyi Ojo are poised for their Wolves debuts after joining this summer.

Striker Le Fondre and winger Ojo have joined on loan from Cardiff and Liverpool respectively while Conor Coady, a signing from Huddersfield, could also make his bow.

Defender Danny Batth will train next week as he closes in on a return following a stress fracture to his foot which ruled him out of the end of last season.

George Saville and new-boy Jed Wallace (knee) will also train next week as the continue their recovery.
