Paul Lambert hopeful over Blackburn duo

Blackburn manager Paul Lambert is keeping his fingers crossed that Craig Conway and Simeon Jackson will be back in the squad to face MK Dons at Ewood Park.

Winger Conway (illness) and striker Jackson (groin) were missing when Rovers fell to a 1-0 loss against Derby on Wednesday night but could swell Lambert's options in this encounter.

Lambert, who welcomed Grant Hanley, Tommy Spurr, Danny Graham, Matt Grimes and Corry Evans back against the Rams, has no fresh concerns as Blackburn look to avoid being dragged into the relegation picture.

Danny Guthrie (hamstring), Lee Williamson (calf), Jason Lowe (foot) and Nathan Delfouneso (knee) are all long-term absentees.

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson, who was a coach at Blackburn prior to his move to Milton Keynes, has Samir Carruthers back from suspension to add to his midfield options.

Alex Revell started against Huddersfield in midweek but Robinson thinks the striker is still short of full match fitness and not yet ready to begin consecutive games so the likes of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Daniel Powell, Nicky Maynard and Rob Hall will come into contention to replace him.

Ben Reeves returned from injury recently but has suffered a fresh knee problem and the midfielder will be out for around another two weeks.

Goalkeeper David Martin (hamstring), midfielder Carl Baker (ankle) and defender Matthew Upson (hamstring) remain sidelined for the Dons.
