Evans in Rovers frame

Blackburn are hopeful Corry Evans will be available against Ipswich.

The central midfielder has been struggling with a dead leg since Tuesday's 3-3 draw with Brighton but he should be able to overcome that.

Jason Lowe misses out with an ankle problem while fellow midfielder Lee Williamson has a slight knock which will be monitored closer to kick-off.

Club captain Grant Hanley can play again after his two-match suspension was overturned but ankle-injury victims Ben Marshall and Adam Henley remain on the sidelines.

Ipswich manager Mick McCarthy has no fresh injury concerns.

The Town squad came through Saturday's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest unscathed, a result which meant McCarthy's men remained two points adrift of the top six.

On-loan Manchester City winger Alex Henshall, who has yet to make his debut for the club, is an option for McCarthy should he wish to shuffle his pack.

The experienced boss will, however, be unable to call upon striker David McGoldrick, who will miss the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury.
