Blackburn rule out move for Juan Roman Riquelme

Staying put: Blackburn have ruled out a move for Riquelme [LNB]Blackburn have shelved their bid to land Argentina star Juan Roman Riquelme until the summer. [LNB]The 32-year-old only signed a new long-term deal with Boca Juniors last summer but would consider a move to England. [LNB]His agent Barry McIntosh said: 'I have spoken with Jerome Anderson,who is doing a lot of work for Blackburn Rovers, about Riquelme and itis being thought about.' [LNB] Yet, Rovers boss Steve Kean has revealed that they will not pursue a deal until after the end of the season. [LNB] He said: 'I don't think that will come in this window. That will be put to bed until the next window in the summer.' [LNB]Another player on Blackburn's radar is Blackpool midfielder CharlieAdam but Jermaine Jones' arrival from Schalke on loan means they areunlikely to press ahead with any move.[LNB] Kean added: 'He's one that's been on the list. We played against Blackpool earlier in the season and he was fantastic.
