Blackburn Rovers bid for Papiss Cisse

Blackburn Rovers have made a bid for Freiburg striker Papiss Cisse, according to the German club.[LNB]Rovers have struggled for goals this season and are keen to add firepower to their squad after a disappointing campaign that has left them battling relegation.[LNB]And the Senegal international fits the bill having scored 22 goals in this season's Bundesliga and has been linked with a host of clubs.[LNB] In demand: Papiss Cisse has been linked with a number of English clubs[LNB]Freiburg sporting director Dirk Dufner told Kicker: 'I can confirm that Blackburn have made us an offer.'[LNB]Arsenal and Liverpool are also among the clubs linked with a move for the 25-year-old, who is under contract until 2014.[LNB]Helast week expressed his happiness with life in the south west of Germany, in the face of speculation about a bid from the Reds.[LNB] Strike sensation: Cisse has been in sparkling form for Freiburg[LNB]'Everyone is talking about me leaving the club,' he told broadcaster Sudwestrundfunk at the time.
