Blackburn owners Venky's insist there will soon be new signings arriving at Ewood Park.
Phil Jones' departure to Manchester United last month is the only major piece of transfer business Rovers have been involved in so far this summer, while fellow defender Christopher Samba continues to be linked with a move away.
But Venky's chairperson Anuradha Desai was quoted as saying in the Lancashire Telegraph: "We are in search of some good strikers and defenders and that will be finalised in the next two weeks."
She added: "We are not running behind big names. Our selection would be a proper mix of young talent and senior players."
