The player-for-player deal comes as Blackburn have little cash to spend in the January transfer window. But following an alleged dressing room confrontation between Beattie and Stoke manager Tony Pulis earlier this month, the deal may well prove feasible. [LNB]Beattie's potential arrival would provide Blackburn with a much-needed goalscorer, and would also give the apparently unsettled Benni McCarthy the opportunity to move elsewhere. [LNB]Meanwhile, it is understood that Blackburn have offered Houston Dynamo midfielder Stuart Holden a four-year deal. [LNB]The USA international has made no secret of the fact he is in the market for a move but has also made clear the decision will be crucial with just over six months to go before the World Cup 2010 gets underway in South Africa. [LNB]Aside from Blackburn, several club in the Scottish Premier League are believed to have shown an interest in the 24-year-old. [LNB]
