Blackburn chairman issues rallying cry amid fears following Allardyce sacking

Blackburn chairman John Williams has insisted the club are 'not in crisis' and must pull together for this weekend's crucial clash with West Ham.[LNB]The surprise sacking of Sam Allardyce by the club's new owners has led to fears over Blackburn's short-term future, but the chairman has moved to calm those worries.[LNB]He said: 'It has beena very difficult few days for everyone involved with the club.[LNB] Chicken superstars: Lennox Lewis (R) opens the Pune restaurant in India with rapper Akon and Blackburn's new owner Balaji Rao (C)[LNB] 'The departure of Sam and Neil was unexpected and I would like to addmy thanks to them both for their efforts over two years. I would liketo appeal to all Rovers stakeholders to fully get behind Steve, anout-and-out football man and a true professional, on Saturday.'[LNB]Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, he added: 'We are not in crisis - in fact, we are well placed in the table. But we know only too well how tight the Premier League is this year and we are about to embark on a spell of six major first team fixtures in under three weeks.[LNB]'We do not want negativity around theplace. That could work to our disadvantage by playing into the hands ofour up-coming opponents.[LNB] Crisis, what crisis?
