Blackburn club captain David Dunn believes Harry Redknapp would make the ideal successor to Steve Kean at Ewood Park. Former Tottenham boss Redknapp, 65, who has been working in an advisory role at Bournemouth since leaving White Hart Lane in June, has been linked with the vacant managerial position at Blackburn. Eric Black is currently in temporary charge of Rovers as the club's global advisor Shebby Singh searches for a replacement for Kean who departed on 28 September. Dunn told Sky Sports News: "If Shebby could persuade Harry to have a serious think about coming to Ewood Park then I would imagine it would be one of the better decisions that Venky's have made over the last couple of years. "We have got a very good squad and we still have an outstanding chance of getting promotion. "I am sure if Harry was interested and the club could persuade him to come to the club, then hopefully we could get promotion. Promotion is great for any manager's cv." Black said: "He's a fantastic manager, right up at the top echelons of management and I think he would be a sensational appointment for Blackburn. "Whether that happens I really don't know, but he is a fantastic manager and has proven that over the years."
