Allardyce believes Rovers have turned around their form after an "abysmal" early spell but chances have not been converted in recent games.[LNB]Blackburn are now only three points off the relegation places and in need of a morale boost against Wigan's Jekyll and Hyde side on Boxing Day.[LNB]Allardyce said Benni McCarthy, Franco Di Santo, Jason Roberts, Morten Gamst Pedersen and El Hadji Diouf were all well short of their goal targets.[LNB]Allardyce said: "We set out our stall at the beginning of the season about the goal ratio we were aiming at and they are all way behind what they did last year, never mind improving on that.[LNB]"It's Benni, Franco, Jason, Morten, Dioufy - they all have not got enough goals.[LNB]"The more they miss the more they worry but you have to take it on the chin.[LNB]"The one thing that gives you the confidence is to go out on the training ground and practise and you don't need a coach for that."[LNB]Allardyce said he was now happy with the way Blackburn were playing and the number of chances the team were creating but their position was still quite perilous.[LNB]He added: "It's now looking quite desperate again.[LNB]"We have faltered by not putting the ball in the back of the net, and wins have turned into draws, and draws into losses.[LNB]"Now we are back under pressure to get three very precious points.[LNB]"In our playing form we have gone from being abysmal to okay, now we have got to go from being okay to very good.[LNB]"We have lacked consistency in results not performances - our performances have been good but we have been failing in our finishing."[LNB]Rovers will be without Vince Grella as well as David Dunn for the trip to Wigan on Boxing Day and both are likely to be missing for Sunderland's visit on Monday.[LNB]Chris Samba is back after a stomach bug however and Brett Emerton could also return from injury.[LNB]Allardyce, meanwhile, does not expect to make any signings when the transfer window opens in January.[LNB]"Our window is shut and likely to stay that way but I'm quite happy in carrying on with what I have got," he said.[LNB][LNB][LNB]
