Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce is keen to increase the competitive spirit within his squad. Rovers have yet to win back-to-back matches in the Barclays Premier League this season, and after the 6-2 defeat to Arsenal prior to the international break, arch-rivals Burnley are the visitors to Ewood Park on Sunday. Allardyce feels his strong is squad enough to compete this season and has called on the players yet to play a significant part to put pressure on those in possession to starting berths. "A winning side is what we are looking for, a winning squad really," he said. "It (not being in the team) is about accepting the situation and being disappointed but waiting to pounce when it is your turn. "When you get the opportunity make sure you are then in control of that shirt. I think that brings healthy competition and drives the players on themselves without me having to do too much about that."
