Big Sam wants happy Bridge return
The Bridge was his final stop as Bolton boss and his side managed to secure a point in April 2007.
Less than a day later he left the club he had steered into the top flight - and then Europe - six years earlier.
Allardyce recalled: "We had a lot of injuries and ended up with a creditable 2-2 draw. It was a nice way to finish.
"I have upset the big boys on many occasions and it would be nice to spoil Chelsea's last game at home on Sunday."
To do so Allardyce believes they will have to replicate the performance of that understrength Bolton team if they are to end a run of three successive defeats on the road.
He said: "We have some satisfying results at home but away from home they have been extremely disappointing.
"I am looking for a much better performance and result against Chelsea. But we will need to be sound defensively.
"Everyone has to take responsibility. If we can do that and frustrate Chelsea, then we can try and open them up when we get the opportunity.
"We will try and use our well-rehearsed set pieces, which we have been exceptionally good at, to score against them.
"I really want the team to put on a show the last two games as I do think we are safe."
Allardyce is keen to tie up a long-term deal with on-loan defender Gael Givet.
It is understood a £3.5million move is already in place with Marseille for Givet, leaving only personal terms to be agreed.
Allardyce said: "We are trying as hard as we can and as quick as we can. I know the player wants to stay and I want him to stay. He has been a magnificent find for us.
"I hope that he is sensible enough to understand that it isn't just about finance, it is about football.
"Football is the most important thing to him and his family.
"He's had a daughter recently in the last few days, we congratulate him on that, now let's make his long-term future here at Blackburn."
Andre Ooijer comes into contention to face Chelsea after a hamstring strain but Jason Roberts, who has a stress fracture of the foot, is again unavailable.
Allardyce added: "He still feels a little sharp pain on turning but he has got a lot better over the last few days. That slight pain means it may crack again and we do not want to take that risk."
