Big Sam seeking shock at Anfield

Blackburn picked up a crucial win over Tottenham last weekend but they are still embroiled in a scrap for Premier League survival and Allardyce is determined to take points off Liverpool.[LNB]The Rovers boss watched the Reds' Champions League defeat to Chelsea in midweek but it is Stoke who he will take inspiration from.[LNB]He said: "When you play at Anfield there has to be different tactics, you have to be tactically different than if you were at Ewood Park, even against Liverpool.[LNB]"I saw some very good tactics by a couple of teams against them, Stoke earlier on in the season, we got a lot of reports on what they did to stop Liverpool.[LNB]"It is more that than watching Chelsea, because whilst I've got very good players, they aren't at the same level as Chelsea obviously.[LNB]"So we've got to go out and make sure we are going to be ready to run as long as we need to run, run as far as we need to run, and compete as long as we need to compete.[LNB]"Then after that try and get playing and using the possession that we get as best as we possibly can and as effective as we possibly can and try and get into Liverpool's final third and cause them a few problems."[LNB]With Allardyce looking to capitalise on the Reds' weaknesses, Chris Samba could again find himself up front.[LNB]The 6ft 5in central defender was employed to good effect in attack against Tottenham on Sunday and with a dearth of strikers available, Allardyce may well keep faith with the Congo international.[LNB]David Dunn said: "Chris was a real handful up there, so we'll probably look to him to maybe play a part and go up there and do the same again if we are struggling in the last 20 minutes.[LNB]"He's a big player for us, he has done very well since he came to the club a couple of seasons ago, and hopefully we can use him in his proper position more often than not.[LNB]"But he is a great threat to have when you want him to go up there."[LNB]Meanwhile Dunn believes Rovers' survival will depend more on their matches against teams in the lower half of the table than games such as Saturday's.[LNB]"All the games are big, but without sounding too negative about this weekend, games against the likes of Liverpool aren't going to be the ones that keep us up," said the 29-year-old.[LNB]"It is going to be games like the one against Stoke the week after. They are going to be the games that decide which league we are going to be playing in."[LNB][LNB]
