Big Sam pondering Chimbonda bid
The Frenchman has been linked with a move to Portsmouth after failing to establish himself in the Spurs first team following his January return from Sunderland.
Chimbonda has previously claimed he knows nothing of the suggestions he is set to leave White Hart Lane in search of regular football.
But it is now reported that the defensively versatile 30-year-old is on Allardyce's summer shopping list.
The Ewood Park boss has made no secret of the fact that he wants to reinforce his squad and Chimbonda has been identified as the man to increase rearguard options.
