Big Sam demands a cutting edge

Rovers have won just once in 14 attempts - a 2-0 victory at Bolton in November - and have scored a paltry nine goals away from Ewood Park in the Premier League.[LNB]Sunday's 2-1 reverse at Liverpool was Blackburn's 10th defeat on their travels and, taking into account last season's form, the win at the Reebok is their only success on opponents' territory since they beat Fulham on March 11 last year. But buoyed by what he felt was a decent display at Anfield, where they created several half-chances, Allardyce is confident they can start winning away again.[LNB]"It was a great shame for the players having put that performance in that they didn't get anything out of it but it has been our Achilles heel all season," said the Rovers boss.[LNB]"Our downfall is our own fault - particularly in missing chances. I can just hope if they continue to perform like that we will be clinical enough to be able to punish the opposition away from home.[LNB]"We need to get another three points away from home somewhere along the line because we are searching for that all-important [40-point] safety mark as soon as we can. We have a two-week break, which is disappointing because I think we are on a good roll, but we'll just have to get together and come back again and push on and keep performing at Tottenham away."[LNB][LNB]
