Big Sam backing Robinson

lackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce believes Paul Robinson possesses more than enough quality to force his way back into the England step-up.[LNB] The former Tottenham and Leeds keeper has won 41 caps for his county, but has not been a regular since his howler in England's 2-0 away defeat to Croatia in 2006.[LNB]Robinson is only 29 and Allardyce sees now reason why the experienced shot-stopper cannot regain England's No.1 jersey under Fabio Capello.[LNB]However, with Blackburn currently entrenched in a battle to preserve their Premier League status, Allardyce wants Robinson to focus on Rovers first and foremost.[LNB]Very good keeper"You don't play 41 times for England and command a place at a club challenging the top four without being a very good goalkeeper," said Allardyce.[LNB]"I don't think he got much help when things started to go wayward for him. From my point of view, it's about eradicating those memories and making sure he comes out a better keeper.[LNB]"He should be thinking about getting his England place back as quickly as he can - although his focus needs to be on Blackburn."[LNB]
