Berg Warns His Players Ahead Of Derby

Rovers manager Henning Berg has told his players to up their concentration for the game against Burnley on Sunday.

Berg has told his side that if they remain being sloppy they will be punished early at Turf Moor and then face an uphill battle to get back into the game.

Rovers have just come out of one derby game with Bolton Wanderers and lost that at Ewood Park, Berg does not want the same thing happening again.

After being caught cold by Bolton, Rovers were a goal behind after just two minutes and had it not been for a great performance by Paul Robinson, it could have got a whole lot worse.

Berg told reporters: "If we start the Burnley game the way we finished the Bolton one we will be fine, if we don't we will be in big trouble.

"We don't play football just for fun, this is our profession. With that comes a worth ethic and standards that have to be met.

"Professional footballers have to be able to learn to take defeat and handle wins.

"That is a big part of football and I expect them to be ready for Sunday."
