McCarthy's agent revealed last week that McCarthy was unhappy with his lack of action at Ewood Park and was considering his future at the club.[LNB]The 31-year-old is well down the pecking order in Allardyce's plans and admits he will have to move as he does not suit Allardyce's style of play.[LNB]"In my opinion, I'm better than what I see out on the pitch in training but unfortunately I have a coach that prefers a different style of football and I'm not the player that fits his description," said McCarthy.[LNB]"That's the only reason I'm not playing - if I had a coach who preferred a player who can hold the ball up and score goals then I would be first choice but unfortunately he wants something different. I can't really be mad or angry about it but it just proves I need to move on."[LNB]Portsmouth have been linked with a move for McCarthy and the former Porto man admits he has discussed the prospect of moving to Fratton Park with South Africa team-mate Aaron Mokoena.[LNB]McCarthy has hinted he would be interested in a switch to Portsmouth, but also claimed a number of other clubs in England and Europe are chasing his signature.[LNB]"Portsmouth are going through a bad patch but are still a top side. I have discussed them with Aaron," added McCarthy.[LNB]"There are other clubs in England and Europe that have shown interest in me, too."[LNB][LNB]
