Benjani to stay at Blackburn Rovers

ShareBlackburn striker Benjani Mwaruwari will return to Ewood Park for another season despite his contract expiring at the end of last season.[LNB]The former Manchester City star, who only managed three goals in 21 appearances last season, revealed he has been offered a new 12-month deal by Rovers boss Steve Kean and is in the process of completing the formalities of the paperwork.[LNB] Staying on: Benjani is set to return for one more season at Ewood Park despite being released at the end of last season[LNB]'Yes, I will be back at Blackburn Rovers again next season,' the 32-year-old told the Lancashire Telegraph.[LNB]'I think the deal will be finalised in the next few days and then I can look forward to doing my best with the club.[LNB]'I don't know if there were other clubs who wanted me because I always wanted to come back to Blackburn.
